Restorations.
Some people are lucky enough to own an old saw, riding lawn mower or other 2 or 4-cycle tool that has been handed down from generation to generation. It's special because it's been handed down. Trouble is, this stuff is aging and may not run anymore.
Or... You may have friends or loved ones that have aged equipment that they would love to see cleaned up and working. What a great gift that would be for them...just bring it in. We can keep a secret. If you would like to see it spring back to life, bring it in so Dan can check it out for you. He knows his way around this equipment and understands the sentimentality. Chances are it can be repaired. |
A customer recently brought a saw into the shop that was not running and in bad shape. (You can see it in the first few pictures below). This isn't just any saw though....this saw belonged to his grandfather and has a lot of sentimental value.
Dan made special note of the requests of the customer. The pictures show the progression of the restoration. The customer wanted fresh paint on the crankcase, but wanted the Stihl orange engine shroud to remain original. He also wanted a business sticker on the unit. Of course, he also wanted it to run! Dan delivered 100%.
Here is the customer's (J.D.) review as found on Google:
"Dan is extremely knowledgeable and I trusted him with the refurbishment of my grandfather's Stihl chainsaw. Could not be more enthusiastic about his work even weeks later since getting the saw back. Yes, took a number of months, but knew that going in as I was not in a rush and the busiest time of small engine repair just slammed him. The work is worth the wait, from getting photos of the tear down, to paint, and working scuffs kept, but even little details such as stickers applied. Worth every penny."
If you've been putting off a restoration of your own, now is the time to bring it in!
